Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account information. When you register, you provide your email address, password, and phone number. If you choose to use the app's social features, you may also set a username and upload a profile photo. These are optional.

Task data, if you choose to share it. Sharing each task is manually opted-in per task. Tasks you create — including their titles, descriptions, due dates, and any custom avatar photos you upload — are stored so the app can function. If you share tasks with followers, that shared content is transmitted through our servers.

Usage information. We collect basic information about how you use the app (such as app version and device operating system) to help us fix bugs and improve the experience. We do not sell this data.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card details. RevenueCat's privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.

Email marketing. If you opt in to our newsletter, your email address is shared with our email marketing provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Where your data lives

Task data you create is stored on your device. When you choose to share a task with your followers, that task is transmitted to and stored on our servers so followers can view it. Tasks you keep private are not sent to our servers.

• To send you reminders and notifications you've set up
• To let you share tasks with followers, if you choose to
• To process your subscription via RevenueCat
• To send you product updates and newsletters, if you've opted in
• To diagnose issues and improve the app

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Social features

Iconic includes optional social features. If you follow other users or allow others to follow you, tasks you choose to share will be visible to your followers. Your username and profile photo (if set) are visible to users you interact with.

What stays private: Tasks you do not share remain on your device and are never sent to our servers or visible to other users.

If we add commenting: Comments you post on shared tasks will be stored on our servers and visible to the task's author and their followers, depending on their privacy settings. You can delete your own comments at any time.

Third-party services

iconic integrates with the following services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — used for account login if you choose this option
• RevenueCat — processes subscription payments
• EmailOctopus — sends newsletters to users who opt in

Your choices

• Update your account info at any time in Settings.
• Delete your account via Settings → Account. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our servers within 30 days. Locally stored data on your device is not affected and must be deleted by uninstalling the app.
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
• Make a task private — simply don't share it. Unshared tasks never leave your device.

International users

Iconic is operated from California, United States. If you are using the app from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in a jurisdiction with different privacy laws than your own. By using Iconic, you consent to this transfer.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under the GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@iconictasks.com.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
